Looks an interesting visit. I know Morgan's do factory visits, perhaps a venue for a South Midlands meet Vic?
Do we know how many cars are coming out of that facility?
Are the chassis welded at the site and the GRP bodies aid up there as it looks very spacious and clean compared with he photos I've seen of the Gilbern factory.
Having worked in the motor industry I've seen the changes that occur when for example, steel bodied cars are replaced with aluminium monocoques/bodies and obviously its 30+ years since the Gilbern factory was in production so perhaps its just the general 'elf & safety brigade who are responsible for the improvements.
Regards,

Derek

Hi Derek

Yes, they weld their own chassis up on site. They have seperate rooms for engine, gearbox, chassis welding on jigs, and fibre glass work. The gear boxes are supplied from Quaife and then stripped by Ginetta and 'adjusted' with a magic finger to their own specs, all hush hush. As you see from the photos, it was immaculate. They make up their own looms and electronics. The only part bought in is the engine from Zytec. The only marks on the floor were tyre marks from over zealous staff moving the G20's and G50's around :D
