Can anyone tell me what steering wheel that I need for my estate as the original wooden one seems to have a lot of play/bend when turning the wheel? What other cars do they fit?
Many thanks in advance!

Hi Terry
I doubt that the wood rimmed wheel was original unless a special order. Originals were, I believe a Formula 15'' wheel with the option of a Prestige Safety Wheel also 15''. The difference is that the safety wheel has two layers of spokes the lower ones are sprung to allow the wheel the deflect in the event of an accident.
We have 1x Formula wheel in used stock which has a centre horn push (that is not connected) this push has a cracked piece that needs gluing. We have no other 15'' wheels in stock but advertising for one in Rarebit might get one as some have fitted smaller dia. wheels.

Where does the column come from originally? Is it an MG one, so maybe a mgb boss would fit?

The steering column is a modified Austin/Morris 1100 unit, the spline is from the MGB up to 1965, the later MGB splines are much different.

Thanks Brian. At least it gives a starting point for a boss.
