'Butty-Bay' Run

Postby gilberninvader » Wed Oct 01, 2008 10:42 pm

As i mentioned in the August Rarebit, the 'Butty-Bay Run' which was organised by Ian Edwards of local radio station, GTFM, has now appeared in October's edition of Practical Classics, under Reader's Drives. (see pages 52 & 53).

It includes 7 photos of both Aubrey's Invader and my own car. A nice little article to promote the marque, and the Welsh valleys too. It shows photos taken along the route, including the Gilbern factory site(or remains of at least), Porthcawl and the Rhondda Heritage Park, which is on the site of a former colliery.

We really enjoyed the event and the sun shone on us for the whole day. ( That was the other fine day we had this summer....!)

Hopefully we will be invited along next year to this new event.
