I thinking about uprated Suspension.
any ideas and how much?
Please consider that I would not be able to do it myself, unless someone would volunteer to help.

Re: Suspension
The bespoke nature of the Gilbern system and personal preferences means costs for modifying are difficult to pin down especially if we don't know what your trying to achieve. More in depth discussions on this matter can be found on the 3lt technical page, including my recent trials and tribulations at suspension modification - if your not a member it's well worth the money

Re: Suspension
I have viewed many photos of uprated suspension but there are no notes.
I am new to this and have very little mechanical skills. However, I am learning and your replies have been very helpful.
I have a Mk 1 and where would I purchase front and back dampers.
What type and how much?
Also I will change all bushes to polybushes.
I asked a classic MG garage to have a new and he did not have a clue. What he did say that I should not use anything MGC as the ride would be too hard.

Re: Suspension
My MkII is all polybushed, it certainly tightens up the handling, BUT it has made the car a bit twitchy in a straight line at speed and you do feel every bump and pothole in the road, even crossing the white line makes it twitch!
Roger spares does new shocks for the cars and as these are adjustable ones, you can set them to your own liking, no need for fancy ones really, unless you're serious about doing track racing.
