Gilbern comfort advice

Postby detorresa » Mon Mar 22, 2010 10:03 am

Hello All

I have joined the Forum as I hope to one day own an Invader MkIII, but having never sat in one and not knowing of any locally (Pembrokeshire) I was hoping if someone tell me if one would be suitable for a me being 6' 4" tall and quite broad at the shoulders. I would be greatful for any information on this matter and look forward to your replies.
Many Thanks

Hi, I'am 6' 2" slim build and have no problems in a Mk1 which should have similar dimensions to a Mk3, there seems to be plenty of elbow room for my 6' broad shouldered mate who drives the car on the odd occasion. Your best approach would be to contact the S.Wales Area contact Gareth Morgan on 01656 860560, he may be able to organise a 'fitting'.
Best regards, Stuart.

At 6ft1 and a real broad and having a built for comfort cuddly build ( see pictures http://www.gilbern.co.uk/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=1127&start=0 I fit my Mk2 with head and shoulder room to spare...

Must be somebody around you who will volunteer to give you test fit..

I'm a 6' 1" rugby player and i fit my mk III just fine. My friend who is a bigger build and 6' 3" also fits in the passenger seat (at the same time) with spare space (just)

There is a tidy 1971 MKII for sale for £3750 if you go to Classic Cars for Sale. It is a nice light blue. I guess it is known to the Club.
Good luck Maurice
