hi guys the "unknown" racing gt at castle combe on film archive was my stepfather bernard gray owner of g s cars bristol. the gt was a special lightweight body specially made by gilbern in white. later fitted with highly tuned 2 litre mgb engine with hrd crossflow head with webbers.limited slip diff ,wide metal wheels and flared wheel arches.roll bar but no trim.built in 1965 and raced by bernard at castle combe, weston speed trials ,hill climbs at dyrham park ,prescott, wiscombe etc. as bernard was a strict salvation army member, sunday drives were taken by our local duckams oil rep. peter sharpe sometimes accompanied by our sales manager mike chandler in his comp prepared original genie later sold to a local vicar being a quality used car !! ! i recognise the car by its alli bullet styled wing mirrors ! after dad passed away in 1982 i sold the car to a aircraft pilot and lately the car has been raced in germany in classic sports and now owned by a gilbern owner in switzerland . i met him at the national at shuttleworth . i wonder if the film could be available on the web ? yours roger fowler bristol ps several pics have appeared in rarebit
