Curborough Sprint

Postby Tree man » Wed Jun 15, 2011 4:40 pm

A very very wet but enjoyable day in the company of a couple fo great fellow HSA competitors. A close battle between my Genie and TVR Tuscan and a 3l Marcos. The TVR was very well prepared (much bigger budget than me) and the Marcos had a 200hp engine - but the rain levelled most of that out. We were exchanging times throughout the day but the TVR pulled off a really good last run to take the points. The track was really slippy and I certainly learnt a lot about Gilbern handling in the wet (good) . No video as we were driving so slow it would make rather boring viewing. I am now 2 points behind the TVR in the championship and it will be very close as to who takes the prize at the end of the year as there is only a couple venues where I am faster than the TVR.
Off to Harewood in a couple of weeks
