This is a very interesting but brief clip of film, I covered the details of the 1968 Motor Show in Rarebit Volume 21 No.10 pages 12 -17. In my article I was unsure if Gilbern had on display one or two Genies, it would appear that the answer is one. I suspect that the car on display was one of the ill fated P.I.130's, the factory had carried out quite an extensive advertising campaign for this uprated model, even taking a full page advert in the 1968 Show Guide on page 236, which showed NBO 223F, the John Bolster Road Test Car.

Thanks for posting that, I have owned MG, Triumph, Jaguar and now Gilbern... I love that era of British cars, warts and all

I also found this same car in April 2008 and posted this on it too.
I think my old link below has been changed but a clip with sound is available from Pathe website i understand without logos etc

I found this clip of a lime green genie when Gilbern had a stand at Earls Court in 1968. It's only a short clip but shows it off really well and in colour too!

NB there is copyright with the clip and cannot be copied etc without permission directly from Pathe. There is a free preview clip or you can purchase a High quality version for £30
