This car featured in article called 'Glass Menagerie' which was published in Classic & Sports car in July 2001, pages 148 - 153. A copy of this article is published in the clubs Road Test Book Vol.2, a copy can be purchased from Gavin Mcardle at Regalia. Have you tried talking to the current owner Del Jon who knows all about its history.

I've met Del and seen his other cars. He is a stickler for having things 'right' and improving where it looks good or is needed.

All I can suggest is to go and see Del, let him tell you what he has done to the car. You might feel it is a bit pricey, but it will be a sorted car ready to go. And I'm sure his wife Linda will keep the cups of tea coming while you chat :D We saw his current Gilbern on the Isle of Man trip and the new leather interior where the black seats had lovely stitched red dragons in the back rest!

Wayne.

PS I'm sure I saw this car about 3 years ago at RAF Marham track day where the guy had just bought it and came out for a run but didn't go on the track, if it is the same car, then at that time it was already a very nice car, all the 'rally' stuff was there and original.
