A mention has been made on a website for the band Strictly For Cash, that one of their band members Wolf Montgomery used to own an orange Gilbern Invader, at the time he was living with his wife Mal and their daughter Mandy at 4 Chandos Road, Heaton Chapel, Stockport. After the Gilbern Wolf purchased a silver Marcos. In 1971 he was killed in this car in an accident at the junction of Parrs Wood and Kingsway. We can only assume that the Gilbern would of been supplied by Allens of Stockport and of course, it may in fact been a Genie.
Do we have any Gilbern spotters or old rock groupies who were about in the Stockport area in 1971?

Wolf was also Deek Rivers of Deek Rivers and the Big Sound.in the 60s
His Marcos crashed into a parked van , and got wedged under it.
the Marcos caught fire, with him in it,
His Daughter Mandy has her own band now I'm told , even had a record deal with Elton Johns Rocket label a few years back.

I lived in Stockport when I bought HTA 944D, I knew Wilf Allen who ran the garage and it was sitting on a no. 92 bus outside his showroom that possibly sparked the interest in Gilberns, he regularly had a GT in the front window.
