Got one back on the road.

Postby Maf » Fri Jun 22, 2012 8:08 pm

Hi all,

Another one on the road after as far as I am aware some years, but no doubt our MK11 historian may be able to shed more light.
IN1228 has passed its MOT and is on the road at last.
This is all thanks to Gavin who played a blinder in shipping a pair of rear shocks at very short notice (rang me back 10.30 at night and posted first thing the morning after) as one magically started spewing it's lifeblood out on the way to the test centre.

Thanks Gavin, your effort is greatly appreciated.

on another note, does anyone know just how many Gilbern’s are actually on the road? I have read through most of the posts on here (I am a new member so I aint got through all of em yet) and it would be nice to know the odds of passing a Gilbern coming in the opposite direction and being able to flash my lights. :D

Nick.

Hi Nick ..

At this moment we dont have a fully functioning Mk2 Historian and I am just baby sitting the database along with the Estates until someone takes over.

A quick trawl through the records tells me we know very little of this car, not even the last time it was on the road..

Always looking for more details and data of the cars, so if you can send anything to me. I will happily add it to the files..

I dont know about the other models, but can tell you there are presently only 16 Estates taxed and road legal, and another 13 on SORN..

The rest are unlisted on the DVLA web..

Hope this helps, and please email- ring-write with any info you have about the car ..

Grahame
