Looking for a magazine article
Many years ago I read a magazine article about the restoration of a Gilbern, this would have proably been in the 80's or 90's.
From memory (very bad) it was about a White and I am sure it was an Estate, and I can remember the chassis had been painted/powder coated in white, with all new electrics.
Trying to locate this to add to my collection of articles, as it was the piece that started me wanting a Gilbern all those years ago..
Any one know which magazine and when...

Re: Looking for a magazine article
It's easy if you are using Flikr ..
Go to the piccy on Flickr..
Just above the photo are some icons, click on the one that says "all sizes"
Along the top in Blue, select "medium" .. this is best as it stays within the forum page size
When the picture has been resized, scroll down the page to ...2. Grab the photo's URL:
Highlight the URL displayed, Right click and choose copy.
Go back to the Gilblog post a reply box you are typing in and where you want the picture select the IMG box at the top.
This will place 2 "img" in square brackets.
Paste your filkr url that you copied in between the two [img] boxes .... [img]http://whatever flikr says.jpg[img]
and then continue typing ...
If you click "preview" before submitting you can see what your post will look like..
Hope this helps...

Re: Looking for a magazine article
No it's not Stuart's car, as I have a copy of that magazine ..
It was about a White car, I think it was an estate, but might be wrong about that bit, the chassis had neen removed and either painted or powder coated in white to match, and there was also something about moving the fusebox to a stainless steel panel in a new location.
Thats about all I can remember, but it imprinted the Gilbern image and wood dashboard on my mind.

Re: Looking for a magazine article
On the GOC Website under "Road Tests" there is a list of articles publshed about Gilberns. Do we (as a club or individuals) have copies of all these and is the list up-to-date.
We all have our own individual collection of articles etc, mine only starts about 1999 when I first became interested in the Marque, but I'm sure others go back further and are more comprehensive.
Depending on what the club has, and I know it publishes/sells some of these as a Road Test book, It is perhaps time to revisit this list and compare it with what members have and whats been published recently.
Is there any anyone from the committe nominted to do this? Not trying to be contoversional but if not I would be happy to have a go at coordinating the update.
One part of this may be a a summary or keyword entry about each article so that they could be searched to answer Grahame's question.
What do you think guys?

Re: Looking for a magazine article
The article list on this site was provided Philip Ivimey (Club Archivist) for the information of all those interested.
It has been updated several times, and subject to a further update from Philip those appearing recently, is compiled from the GOC reference collection as a complete list of all published articles.
If you find any others, it is your moral duty as a GOC member to inform and or provide the same to Philip.
