Log in problem

Postby mike whiskey » Sat Apr 25, 2009 9:41 pm

Since re-building my laptop i have been getting logged off randomly from the forums, despite setting the stay logged on option.

I remember there being talk of the problem here, and even a solution, however, the search says that 'log', 'in', and 'problem' are too common to search for!

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Sorry I can't help, but I can sympathize as it also happens to me. I can't stay logged on either. :( :?

Hi All ..

I had awful problems with this, evertime I went to a different thread it would log me out..

A quick e-mail to Admin, and Paul tweaked a button here and there and I now stay logged in with no problems ..

Hope this helps..

Not sure if Greybags is still OK but I revisited problem for another member yesterday, after reseting their password the login was timing out.
There is differently only one global setting for form submission time and after twindling about but changing nothing, the login worked correctly.
It is also the case, that on my own mid-tower my login is 'persistent' where as on my work laptop it times out?

Some numbers would be useful, who and how long before time out?
No promises but will try and find the answer.

Paul,

I seem to have the same problem as you. On the Desktop M/C i'm always logged in when I access the forum. On my laptop I usually have to log in each time (Possibly day) I visi.
Regards,

Derek
