HISTORIC SPECIALS AND CLASSIC KIT CARS (Gilberns are most welcome to the stand)

at the N.A.C. Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire the world’s number one show for every kit car enthusiast with old or new kit cars Sunday 2nd and Monday 3rd of May 2010,
from 9.30am till 5.30pm. (May Day Bank Holiday weekend)
All Specials and Kit Car drivers are admitted free of charge,
This is the best show of the year for kit car engineering.
Come to the main vehicular entrance which is located on the B4113, the Coventry to Leamington Spa road.
(follow signs for clubs and exhibitors (do not go into the Public car parks)
PLEASE tell everybody you know with a suitable car and place details on websites if you can

Thanks for the invitation, Tony, and good that you were able to join our South Midlands Group meeting yesterday evening.

What day are you Vic, and others, planning to attend as it a good oportunity to compare A-series powered sports cars

Now I’ve dried out and warmed up, I’d like to share the joys of Stoneleigh with everyone! Warwickshire returned to winter after the recent summer weather!

A great turn-out, again: the photo was taken during one of the very few sunny periods and so does not include Barry Wylam’s Mk 2, as he arrived later. It does show Phil James’ Mk 1, our GT, Philip Ivimey’s Genie and Stuart Massey’s Mk 2, the first and last of these being NEC Show cars in 2009. And there were some other fine classics, including some early Rochdales. Good to have shared such good company and to have met some visiting GOC members.

In the background on the left is the Rochdale of Tony Stanton, our host on the Historic Specials pitch. Thanks again to Tony for his invitation this year (I know he reads this!), and for stewarding the pitch while most owners went shopping (lower prices at the Kit Car Show than at ‘posh’ classic car do’s) or daydreaming!
