Saturday 29th June.

For those of you planning to make a full weekend of it, Dinner has been arranged at the Chainbridge Hotel in Llangollen.
Dinner will commence at 1930 hrs and will cost £19.95/head for a 3 choice menu. Please see www. chainbridgehotel.com for directions. Unfortunately at this time, all the rooms at the Chainbridge have been taken. As Llangollen is a major tourist spot there are numerous hotels and B&B's available, I suggest the following hotels in the centre of town:-

Gales Hotel Llangollen 01978 860089.
Royal Hotel Llangollen 01978 860202.

A Minibus Shuttle will be arranged between Gales Hotel and the Chainbridge Hotel appro 1 mile away.

If you are not already booked into the Chainbridge but wish to attend the dinner, You must contact me before June 10th
to reserve you place at dinner.

Sunday 30th June.

National Day at Erddig House.
Erddig was voted Britain’s Best Historic House in the UKTV History series Britain’s Best. The 1200 acre estate includes extensive gardens, preserved saw mill, blacksmith shop, vintage vehicles etc. http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/erddig
Erddig is a National Trust Property; there will be no charge to attend the GOC event which is to be held in a reserved part of the estate. There will be a charge to gain entry to the House, Gardens, Workshops and other Exhibits.
National Trust Members will have free access to all areas.

Directions

From the North, join the A483 (Wrexham Bypass), Exit left at Junction 3 onto A5152 following brown signs for Erddig. From the South, follow the A5 up to the roundabout with the A483. Join the A483 then exit at Junction 3 following the brown signs for Erddig.

Programme for the day Arrive from 10.00a.m. onwards.

Concours entrants to be registered by 11.00a.m.

Concours Results and Presentations 4.30p.m.

Depart by 5.00p.m.

Refreshments/Facilities
Food and drinks are available at Erddig, or bring a picnic. Toilets are located close to the Gilbern Display Area.

Club Spares Sales. Items will be on sale at the times indicated above. Please place orders for new spares that you wish to collect at Erddig with Gavin McArdle
(for 3-litre cars) or Brian Gent (for GT’s).

Club Regalia Sales. Items will be on sale at the times indicated. Orders may also be placed with Dudley Thompson and collected on the day.

Club Members Spares. Member's spares items for sale may be displayed on the ground sheet provided, or advertised on the notice board. All items should be marked with a contact name/mobile phone number on the labels provided. Please note that the Club cannot be held responsible for the security and suitability of these items.
If any items are left over and you do not want to take them home they will be put into the Club Used Spares or disposed of.

Awards/Trophies. Please return to Roger French all perpetual Cups that were presented last year either on the day, or, if you are not attending, please contact Roger by email french_rp@yahoo.co.uk or phone 0208 357 7563 by 16th June to arrange their return.

Concours awards for up to seven best in class Gilberns and the over all winner.

Barry Wylam Cup for the Touring Class winner.

Peter Cottrell Memorial Trophy (Competition award)

Cyril Ward Cup, awarded to the most interesting or significant Gilbern present outside the Concours event.

Roger French Tankard, awarded to the Rarebit Magazine/Forum contributor of the year.

Anniversary Cup awarded to the GOC Clubman of the year (most significant contribution to the GOC.

Great Griffin award, presented to the winner of the Great Griffin Run.

Now I’ve dried out and warmed up, I’d like to share the joys of Stoneleigh with everyone! Warwickshire returned to winter after the recent summer weather!
