Re: Wiscombe Cup Hillclimb 2nd September 2018
Dear Members,
Thanks to Brian Gent we now have 3 Gilberns entered on Sunday, for the Wiscombe Cup. Brian has entered GT1800 (AMJ) for himself, and his red Invader (BMB) for Keith Marchant to make his hillclimb debut in. The third entry is myself in my Invader. The Gilbern class Saturday is still just Brian in his GT1800.
Its still not too late to enter. For Sunday only 101 of the 135 places have been taken so far. See you there.
Kind regards
Chris D

Re: Wiscombe Cup Hillclimb 2nd September 2018
Dear Members,
The Five Clubs Wiscombe Park hillclimb weekend, was blessed with nice weather. Brian Gent won the Saturday Gilbern class, as the only starter. Sunday he was quickest Gilbern in the class with a time of 51.79 seconds.
Unfortunately Brian's Invader loss some oil pressure Saturday, so was left at home. Keith Marchant turned up, and shared Chris Dennis's Invader instead. He beat Chris, (thats gratitude for you) and won the Wiscombe Cup for the most improved Gilbern, well done Keith, a great drive.
Kind regards

And someone has yesterday posted a report on the meeting on Uphill Racers http://www.uphillracers.com/showthread. ... post152274
There's a link to photos on flicker, where I find a couple of handsome Gilberns pictured on page 2 (scroll down to find).

Well done chaps. This is why it's always important to smile when driving up the hill.
Cheers. Colin

Brian, you had better believe that I am counting....
And I promise you that it will have been worth the wait.
