This may have already been mentioned, but I find it rather challenging to navigate this site!! Having seen the cool-looking Minilite-shod red Invader/Genie(?) on the Freeview Summer of Sport ad. (also viewable on youtube) Which of these models is it?
Hi Jed Just looked up the ad on you tube and I also thought it was a genie but looking closer on pause it's an Alpha Romeo Guilietta possibly a 1750 GT or a 2000 but don't quote me. I saw one similar close up at my recent Pencoed car show it's possibly the model car they based the genie on. Google it for a pic the twin headlamp model in red is closest with the raking quarter lights and roundal on the rear roof pillar. regards Gareth
I thought I'd discovered something! I did wonder what the badge on the rear pillar was... The bumpers look identical! (wonder what Alfa thought upon first seeing the shape of the Genie and why Gilbern didn't continue with a progression of the truly individual shape of the GT)
Hi Jed Please see attached link I've now uploaded a few shots I took recently of the Alpha I mentioned, at my local car show.. Very similar to the Genie, I had a double take from seeing it on the side elevation too!

Hi again Jed
Having trouble remembering how to embed a pic onto this forum via Flickr when I don't post pics very often, a bit of trial and error sorry....! Still hope you like the genie, sorry Alpha shot above Thanks Gareth
Hi Gareth, nice picture! Thanks. (seems they might be having a few issues with the lower part of the door though ) I remember looking at a 1300 Giulietta at a dealer near me back in c.1970, just resprayed in powder blue, but being too worried about what lay beneath the pristine paint to be brave enough to buy it!
