having recently been contacted by brian gent ref previous gilbern dealers,i looked at the site with a few corrections...no 19 was g.s.cars(bath)ltd....directors Bernard and Mrs G Gray and Mr Brian France....an extention to G.S.Cars of Bristol having moved thier Lotus Franchise to Kingswood,Bristol...No 39 was also a G.S Cars sub Dealer Roseland Motors owned by Mr & Mrs Gerald Morse of Veryon,Cornwall still in contact by writer. no 3 the ashmore bros of west brom were also gilbern and lotus dealers and raced both marques..the lotus in f1..according to rob ford of club lotus gerry now lives in france..I have more details and enquiring if the GT with twin cam existed...finally dad was chairman of the gilbern dealers assn which represented the dealers with the factory,and sometimes picked up a wage bill!!! some details tucked away best wishes Roger Fowler Bristol

Thanks for the information Roger, i will amend my list to suit, i was also very interested to hear that your dad was chairman of the dealers association, i heard /read somewhere that in the 70's they were trying to rescue Gilbern Cars and 'bail them out'. I don't think we have much recorded with regards to your dad's efforts. If you have any articles /photos /docs, etc i could copy from those times, i would be most grateful.
