My user name probably says it all. My husband, Richard, was a total car fanatic. He adored Grand Prix, original minis, rallying (especially in the Welsh forests) Ronnie Peterson and always aspired to own a Gilbern. He was a Gilbern owner for 4 months before his premature and unexpected death in late March - he was just 50. Tragically, the family had to 'celebrate' his eldest daughter's 18th birthday and our 21st wedding anniversary weeks later, without him.
With hindsight now, despite being very ill, he relished joining you in the owners club and just 'being' an owner. I, coping with life in general, not realising how ill he was and trying to carry on as normal, did not share that joy.
EBT, in all her bright shiny red glory, now sits at the end of our drive. I have never driven, nor been driven in her, and I don't want to be. My 18 year old has not passed her driving test and my 15 year old has never been remotely interested in any kind of car.
I want rid, but I am not naiive - she can sit there for years until someone makes me a serious offer, but I would rather someone who really wants her makes me a proper offer (and transports her away somehow). I can only look at her with sadness, but she filled my husband with joy - i want someone filled with joy to own her now.
you can reply, oc has an email address, if i were less lazy i'd have his details, too.
