Survivor Numbers

Postby jamesall » Thu Jun 09, 2022 10:30 am

Does anyone have the numbers for 2022? How many of each model are currently taxed/roadworthy?

I'm showing my estate at the local village fete at the weekend, so it would be good to have the "survivor" numbers as I'm sure to be asked.

thanks

James.

Hi James, there is a difference between surviving numbers and 'on the road vehicles' A few years ago when I was a Historian, I went through all the lists and data that GOC has access to and found that over 600 cars, out of around 1100-1200 still exist in one form or another, so taking a chance on ones we do not know about survival rate is at least 50% (if you count lurking in garages in boxes surviving!)
As for cars which are taxed and insured, this used to be done annually by GOC Historians but seems to have fallen by the way of late.

Hi James when I got my Estate in 2013 I was told there was 12 on the road, I would think that has gone up to about 20 by what I have seen on line and in Rarebits.
