Hi.
Are there any events planned for next year in or around Cornwall or Devon, or even on the way for us from Lincolnshire to Cornwall?
We want to holiday in that area next year and it would be a good excuse to take Gilbern if we can make it tie up with any events.
Will post this in Events also.
Kind Regards,
Wayne.

Wayne ..
There is always a load going on ... not aways Gilbern specific ..
If you like a good run then the is the ACE, Riviera, and several others ....and loads of shows, if they arent washed out again ... Powderham, Wadebridge and Yeovil are 3 of the biggest.
When I get next years list fronm the MG club, will let you know more ..
There are some spectacular drives across Dartmoor, especially early in the day ...Yelverton to Mortenhampstead, via Post Bridge is one of my favourites... then across to Oakhampton, down to Tavistock, via Lifton, back to Yelverton.
Then there are some of the river runs, where the road follows the river through the valley... sublime on a sunny week day.
Or up the coast from Plymouth, to Hope Cove, Thurlseston, Salcombe..
This really is God's county for Classic car drives...
If you find yourself in Plymouth with an hour to spare, give me a ring and I will brew some coffee...

That's great Grahame.
Wife, dog and I are certain we want to holiday down your way next year, so your info is welcome. Do you think you'll have your car on the road by then?
Cheers,
Wayne.

Re: Any Gilbern Events in Cornwall/Devon next year?
Barring any set backs, or something I have missed and enough of the folding stuff, then I anticipate having it back on the road by the middle of the year.
Now I have retired I am hoping to be able to devote a bit more time to it, as long as the garage isn't too cold, and the wife dont find too many jobs for me
everyone is always welcome for a cuppa...
If you want great scenery, some absoloutly cracking A & B roads, good pubs with half decent food then you cant beat it down here...Although it can be slightly better just out of season, as the weather is still good, the roads are a lot quieter and so are the pubs...
Hope we may be able to meet at some point..
