Stuart

Having seen it in the flesh, and heard that beautiful exhaust note, I can honestly say that the pictures don't do it full justice..

It looks brilliant, inside and out...

That really is a great deep yellow, and I love the cills.....

See you again soon ..

Grahame

P.S..

I can also confirm that it goes as well as it looks, perhaps even better....

Very nice Stuart,

I can't find the photos and would very much like to see them. :(

I don't know how to link them to here either but I'm sure there's a techie that could show you the way.

Look forward to seeing more pictures.

Richard.

As well as the car the worshop facilities look very impressive as well. Beats my little domestic garage. :(

Truly fanstastic work, Stuart!
Just been through the Flickr photo's. Seems to be more weld than chassis now though  But really great to see the photos from start to finish. Do you have any more of the interior too?
And did you do the respray yourself?

Gilbern 74

all work done inhouse apart from

laser cutting (suspension parts + decorations )

upholstery + engine rebuild, I`m not really happy with the paintwork I`ve done it twice but it should be better.

( My workshop is J S Body Repairs, so the paint really should be better )

Hi Stuart
I must say what a credit to you on a great restoration, the colour is fantastic, then again i am a bit biased towards yellow Gilberns!

I've seen all your photos posted too on flickr, a lot of time and effort gone into it over what 3 years? Your car looks amazing & congrats again.

I hope to see you at the Pencoed show in May too, who knows we could be placed like book ends ....mine could do with a bit more fettling here and there now compared with yours, bring a can of touch up paint with you.....!

Those stainless door sill plates look good on your car, with the Gilbern logo in yellow, i really want a pair, do you make them yourself? :D

cheer

I agree with Garth, yellow is the only colour to have.
I have just re-acquired my old yellow estate and would be happy to display it at the Welsh show too, three crackers in a line, what year are we talking about?
At present, mine looks like its been in a pond for for the 20 years since I last drove it, so needs a bit of a polish first.
(photo may be added also if Grahame would kindly do the honours)

Hi poolio
yer back, nice Holiday, how's the haircut?

There will always be a welcome as they say. Never mind T-cut, were you half cut when you got your latest project...you must be brave or something?? Just a bit of elbow grease and the will eh!

Have a look at MSN-UK as my post on here says, there is a feature including yours truly in my car, which i believe looks like it was taken when i came down to shuttleworth, the last time National day was down your way! 8)

Autographed copies etc etc
