Hello New Member, welcome to the roller coaster that is Gilbern ownership.

Glad to see you took the proper route and bought a MkIII :D

I'm even more pleased to see that you have also started off by posting to the Gilbern Forum and I hope you become an active member of both the physical and virtual activties of the club.

A name would be most welcome and a location so that the local area can invite you to their meetings.

If you need any help we are only a few key strokes away, so welcome again.
Regards,

Derek

First bit of help is simple , can you tell us where to find the fuse box and chassis plate? :?:

Thanks for the welcome , if people are looking for a show to attend have an idea for one in June where you all would be most welcome. :D

Hi Dave, EBT looks a lot better than some I've seen so should be no problem :)

You hopefully know about Rogerspares who may become you next best friend over the coming weeks.

Derek

Fusebox ( If you can call it that) should be on the bulkhead behind the battery. When I got my MKIII there were just two or three fuses in open holders for the whole car  . I think most owners fit after market units with more fuses.

The chassis plate should the on the off-side longitudinan(?) chassis member just below the alternator . Again is just a simple number stamped onto a plate.
Regards,

Derek

Yep rang Roger already :D

We sell Cortina and Lotus parts for a living so may be able to find parts for other members as well ,meanwhile we are in need of a good back bumper if anyone knows of one about - the new S/S ones look nice but dont really want to spend so much.

I've found the parts list available from Roger is very useful to identify the source of the original parts but if you are "in the trade" you may recognise many already.

Derek
