Is there any one out there that has a suitable Type 9 gearbox for a V6?
My current Type 9 needs to come out to sort out the clutch problems and I'd love to put in something more robust but I can't run to a T5, even 2nd hand off ebay. So I'm after a 5 speed Type 9 with the correct ratios for the Essex V6, my current type 9 has the wrong ratios, me thinks it must have originated from a diesel engine!
I'm willing to come collect and can afford a reasonable price.
Wayne.

Re: Wanted, type 9, 5 speed gearbox...
Hi Wayne -
I bought a Supra 5-speed from a rally guy to go behind one of mine before I decided to go with an A4LD automatic; is this any good for you? They have a reputation for being bulletproof...
My phone number is on the Northern Region list, or from Richard (or RogerSpares, or PC has it, etc...)

Got myself an XR4i box now.
2.8i and XR4i boxes are becoming rare, so if you see or hear of one and want to do the conversion, snap it up quick.
Been quoted £450 to rebuild an ordinary type 9 box, let alone the stronger 2.8i or XR4i ones!
