Vitafoam Seat BasesHere is maybe your only chance to get hold of the original pattern seat bases for most GT's and nearly all the 3 Ltr's. I managed to find the manufacturer of these parts (this part of the company had been sold by Vitafoam) and was originally told that a minimum order of 50 would be required, This later changed to 150 but they then discovered 88 lying on a shelf which I have bought. The first pic shows the correct patent and part number, the second shows the plain article and the third shows one I have just fitted to my car seat, without stripping the seat down. With two pairs of hands and much biting of tongues so as not to embarrass passing maidens it can be done. These are not cheap ( they are more expensive than say Triumph or MG ones, which of course are more plentiful but won't fit Gilberns) but reflect the price the club paid out.When they are gone they are gone as I doubt we shall be ordering any more!
