According to the Ammeter battery is charging, but red ignition warning light glows very slightly at low speed (under 65) Earth appears to be good. Fan belt has correct tension, car not overheating and checks show that the battery fully charged.
Any thoughts?
Many thanks

Re: Electrical Problem?
Ray ..
Really need to put a meter on it ...
Sounds like it's not putting out a high enough voltage at lower revs ....
So probably only about 12v ish or lower than battery voltage then lamp will glow, when greater than batt voltage 13v ish then light out ... so only out at higher revs .. sounds like the regulator in the alternator on its last legs..
Might be worth checking the connections on the back of the alternator, in case one is dirty or loose..
