Hello Nick -
First, congratulations on your acquisition!
Second, if you haven't already done so, join the GOC (details for Stephen Arnold, the Membership Secretary, are elsewhere on the site). The Club has a wealth of information available on your car, and more to the point, it has an able parts supply operation, and lots of Members who are always ready with advice, assistance and comradeship... Someone to have a cry in your beer with, as you try to understand the braking system, etc.
Where are you located? Many of the regions have active local groups, some of which meet on a monthly basis; Stephen can direct you to the local organiser.
I have Mark III chassis numbers 0031 and 0203. Neither of them are on the road at the minute, but we live in hope.
One of your first purchases should be the GOC Archive CD-ROM, which is available from Paul, the webmaster, or look for the details on the Regalia tab on the left of the screen - it has all the material that has been written for the Welsh Rarebit, including Paul's series dissecting the Mark III.
Good luck, and enjoy the car, it is a rare pleasure.
Dave

Re: Newbie seeks information
Hello, Nick -
You're in luck.
The Club Secretary, Peter Daye, is in Compton Dundon, and Brian Somerfield, who knows almost everything there is to know about Gilbern, is in Taunton. Brian is doing the pre-owned spares department.
Zomerzet seems to be a hotbed of Gilbern enthusiasm.
