Hi again,
think I have got the above wrong as it was the first 30 - 40 Genies that retained the GT running gear. Will clean up the bits I have taken off and go from there.
regards,
john

Hi John,

Not to confuse the issue, but I found the running gear has more in common with the Healey 3000's than the MGC. After all, MGC running gear was based on the Healeys'

The Healey also has a lever arm suspension set up, as opposed to the torsion bar one in the MGC. It's also far easier to specify the AH parts; discs, bushes, bearings, brakes etc as they are more widely available/listed, but they are exactly the same as the MGC items.

Infact, it would be more accurate to say that the Genie, Mk1 and Mk2 running gear was based on the Austin Healey 3000 NOT the MGC.
