road tests and stuff

Postby Paul Yates » Sun Dec 23, 2007 12:57 pm

Just read the entry from Bitsa, I am starting gathering a few bits and pieces together for volume 2 of the club Road Test book, and would be pleased to see any old magazine articles, photos, adverts, reviews etc that would be suitable, I have a few price lists but am looking for quite a lot more, so let me know if you can help.
Seasons Greetings for the House of Reg!

Paul,

The loft yielded ...

Classic Cars May 1991 - DAY 342K Invader Estate - Five page restoration
Classic & Sportscar June 1984 - ROR 17G Genie v Scimitar
Sporting Cars August 1986 - 3 page Hillclimb article

Let me know if you want to borrow any of these and I'll post them after Christmas.

Cheers

Chris

Thanks Chris, the estate restoration went into the first book, ( I assume you have a copy, great value at just a tenner, T shirts also available at prices to suit all pockets) but the others two are of interest, so I would be pleased to see them when the festivities are over.
Best wishes and thanks again for the offer of help.

seasons greatings Paul,
your best bet i would imagine would be our club Archivist, Phil Ivemey, he must have a copy of every article/picture/ price list/poster etc etc. ever produced, only he will not be able to respond to your request on here as you know, he doesn't have internet access. Try the old dog and bone or snail mail may help.
cheers good luck with the new volume , put me down for one

Gar :D

Whilst writing, I have that special order of 6 T shirts for you, so send a cheque and I wil get them bagged up and in the post.
Juan, Reg and the rest of the boys send their regards.

Thought as much you are a Juan, aren't you!

Having over eaten again this xmas i may need an XXXL sized one for the summer...

Don't go ordering it yet though, i will let you know if my diet works longer than a week after another New Years resolution.

Did you get my 'Elf and safety' report, recognise the bearded one?
Happy New Year to you
