Re: Estate rear window HELP!!!!!!!
Dave ..
Talking to my Estate guru last night, he confirms that the proper rear window seal is from either a Mk1 Ford Cortina Estate, or a Corsair Estate...
So might be worth talking to the Ford clubs to see if they have supplies??
Can you send me the sample (and the history please) as I shall be out and around over the next couple of weeks and meeting up with a few contacts in the classic business that may be able to help...

Re: Estate rear window HELP!!!!!!!
Looking at the estates on Sunday and a Corsair today I would say they are the same.
The guy restoring the Corsair says there is limited support for them on the body front. They are kept running by the fact the majority of mechanicals are Cortina.
I aslo would say the scimitar front screen rubber will do the job, but will not be the original profile or insert but very similar.

Re: Estate rear window HELP!!!!!!!
Spent a very interesting morning with Phoenix Supplies going through all their stocks and pattern books, but with no luck so far.
Quite an Alladdin's cave, and a would be Eutopia for anyone with a rubber fetish.
But have found that at some point in it's life the Mk1 Cortina had it's windscreen changed and that the rubber used for that (Mk1 Cortina Modified) measures up as being the same profile.
Anyway, all is not lost as yet, as they have several suppliers and munufactures that still have the dies to produce out of stock stuff or may have it on the roll rather than preformed.
We also found another profile which was in stock on the roll, that is very close and looks as if it will do the job if we cant find the correct stuff...
Can't progess any further untill I can supply them with a length of the old section rubber as a sample to send to their suppliers/manufacturers.
So Dave ... please, please, please send me a section so that they can continue the search for us.....
