Gilbern Gt at Classic Race Aarhus Denmark

Postby kajbirkelund » Tue May 17, 2011 10:03 am

A small report from Denmark
Participated in the Classic Race Aarhus, Denmark with my Gilbern GT 1800. It was my first race with the car :D :D :D , but still a lot to do on the car. The engine is a standard engine, so its not that quick, so I have to build a racetrimmed engine as a job for the winter time. You can see pictures on my homepage: http://www.birkelundmgteam.dk see CRAA 2011
The homepage is on danish - but you can see the pictures.
The car has got new suspension, brakes, roll cage, seats, belts and a lot more and has got a new FIA Historic Technical Passport.
Best regards
Kaj Birkelund, Denmark

Have a nice summer dear Gilbern friends!

Roll cages can be supplied through the club. Roger Frankland has spent a lot of time sorting them out. I don't know if they would be the same spec, as you might require but I can find out.
Only one problem I can see is folding it up to get it in the Post, of course I can always deliver personally all expenses paid!!!

Downunder Rick - Thanks for your nice comments - yes it was fun!
Because I'm so tall, the roll cage was specially custom made for me by a specialist. And he has done a very good job. As Gavin suggested delivering - I'm willing too if all the expenses are paid. :D
Good hunting for a roll cage!
