Hi Craig, g'day to you. Where have you been? what have you been doing? what's going on in your life? Oh, hang on, I don't really care. Thanks for your input.

Richard.

"Oop North"

Thats anywhere past Taunton as far as we are concerned down here in the real Sunny South. :D

All flat caps and whippets, and "workin downt pit" from what I've heard...

I think you will find the Blue Mk3 is actually a Blue Mk2...

Nothing wrong with Oop North I suppose, went there once on business, seemed quite reasonable, and as my minder/translator pointed out, Nowt as queer as folk.

You can even get a translator on the web now http://www.whoohoo.co.uk/yorkshire-translator.asp for some of the more gramatically challenging turns of phrase. :D

PS..
as my uncle frank always said" it never rains in the tap room
This can be quite easily explained, as being a room it will have walls and a roof... Therefore no rain.. QED

Hi ..

What part of the real world am I not in???

Cant answer the questions, as why Crich was choosen as I was'nt a member then, and I'm the Estate Historian, and dont have any Genie details.

It's a sunny day down here as well, been out in the garage this morning working on the car, part of this afternoon rewiring the lounge and dining room, and even played tennis in the garden with the wife and kids and a cold glass of wine..

Just sat down for a few minutes to have a bit of light hearted banter...

All seems pretty real world to me...

Craig,
Genie Historian here : fear not, I have been away....in......the north! Manchester!!!! Had a fab. time on the MAN ship canal & visited the German U boat U534 at Liverpool. I can recommend both. As always the beer was good in the North. I stayed dry over the 4 days, but it rained in the south!!

I have replied direct to Nigel on his query & will help him where I can.

Just a reminder all "GOC committee posts are volunteers", we try to have lives outside, with work commitments etc. Somedays I even get to lift a spanner on my Genie, currently stored in many boxes.

Regards Julian
