Car SOS

Postby blue1 » Mon Mar 18, 2013 12:54 pm

Did any see the car tv programme Car sos on Discovery channel.

They went to a car trimmer factory in the west midlands and there was a Purple Gilbern Invader with a vinyl roof.

I was impressed as the presenter knew it was a Gilbern Invader.

A late Mk2 (Stag handles) on the Nation Geographic Channel. Yes, caught that and have recorded the +1 so will investigate further.

They nearly had my Mk 111 as a project. My dad had lined someone up to come visit the car. He did a no show, and on chasing had left the company... Someone else had filled all the slots. I almost wish he hadn't told me....

Hi Mike ..

I know there was talk about 12 - 24 months ago about a TV company looking at an estate that had been stored and needed restoring, as they were taking them on to complete the work...
But came to nothing...

Shame really as it would be great to have a bit more TV publicity for the cars...

Perhaps they will do a series 2, as it is one of the best classic resto shows on at the moment.
