For those of us that live on the posher side of the country (!) a warning of a road closure.
If you normally leave the M4 at J17 and travel along the B4069 to Bradenstoke then you will find that this road is closed at Daunstey Lock, i.e. just before the turning to Bradenstoke.
I first noticed this closure a month or more ago but was in the area this week and was surprised to find it still closed.
The signposted diversion takes you via Chippenham, Calne & Lyneham.
There appears to be a shorter route, by ignoring the closure signs and turning left just before the lock and then keep turning right coming back through Lyneham.
If you don't know the area it may pay to go via J16 then via Royal Wooten Basset & Lyneham then ignore the closure signs to get to Bradenstoke.
See you there.
