Hi All
I am attempting to organize a tour of the Morgan factory on March 24 @ 10.30am.
I have managed to get the bookings at this years prices i.e. £15.00 per person (next years prices are £20.00 p/p) payable on the day to Morgan by cash or card.
The tour will last approximately 2 hours and will involve standing and walking only, there is NO SEATING on the tour (or else all the workers would be skiving!)
You will need to make your own way there, I am told that there is plenty of on-site parking (a chance to park Gilberns on their lawns?) but if there is enough interest in any area perhaps you could arrange a mini-bus?
We have the option of using their small snack-bar or pre-booking a buffet lunch, at I believe £10.00 ea, (the attached menu did not open, I will get it later) or adjourn to a local hostelry.
Please let me know your requests and I'll go with the majority.
Please let me know in time to confirm the numbers (end first week in March at the latest?) but if enough request a pub lunch then perhaps even earlier to ensure a booking?
More info when I have it.
Contact Gavin preferably by e mail <gavin.mcardle@talktalk.net> or phone 01278 773621

Thanks, Gavin. This notice will also appear in January 2016 Rarebit. We visited a few years ago and it's a fascinating visit: well worth going again! Victor Lobb

Re: Morgan Factory Tour
I have contacted the Morgan Car Co. this week as arranged to confirm numbers (28) and food requirements but as yet have received no reply, so I will try again on Monday.
Assuming that all is OK this is to let you all know what is arranged.
The tour starts at 10.30 on Thursday March 24.
There is a small car park at the factory ( I would suggest that this is used by those driving Gilberns ?) and another a few minutes walk away in Pickersleigh Road which would appear to be the same road that the factory is in. Post code WR14-2LL. I am not sure if these are pay car parks.
Payment for the tour is £15.00 (as agreed with Sally Baylis, today's charge is £20.00, they may need reminding) and can be made in cash, by card. or cheques made out to Morgan Motor Co. Sales.
I have decided to opt for the Menu 2 Standard Finger Buffet ( sandwiches, sausage rolls, warm meat and vegetarian quiches, dips with crudites & tortilla chips a selection of cakes plus tea, coffee or water) is there anyone requiring anything different e.g allergies etc?
Hopefully we will have a room to ourselves so that we can have a chat and discus all the things that Morgan are doing wrong and how much better made Gilberns are???
The food charge is £10.00 and can be paid in cash or cheque only , made out to Morgan Catering Ltd.
As we will all be paying individually for the tour which will take some time I would suggest being at the factory around 09.30 - 10.00 .
If anything changes I will of course let you know, otherwise lets look forward to a good day out!

Re: Morgan Factory Tour
Hi All again
Forgot to mention parking!
There is parking (for non Gilberns ) at Victoria Park off Pickersleigh Ave which appears to be the 2nd on the right after the railway bridge on the A449 from Worcester.
Should be enough space for Gilberns to park at the factory.
Regards Gavin
