Weekend in Wales hillclimbing
As the the Genie is behaving I will be taking it to Wales this weekend to compete in a sprint at Llandow and a hillclimb at Lys Y fran. The weather forecast is not too bad especially on Sunday when there is more things to hit. I'll post a video if they come out, the run up the dam service road is spectacular. I'll ask somebody who knows to post a couple of pictures of the car at it's new fighting weight with various bits of trim removed to reduce weight - I think it looks more purposeful as well as being 75kg lighter.

Great weather and great competition. Llandow is very fast but the venue is a bit grim. Llys-Y-Fran is a fantastic venue and I'll post a video when I get back from holiday. The winters work on the fron suspension has all been worth it but I now need to slacken the rear, especially now I have a few more horses under the bonnet. I will also be changing back 60 section tyres from the present 50 section as I think this will suit the cars handling better

Here is a link to the in car video I took at the Llys-Y-Fran hillclimb http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ynsi8_XyRNg If you listen carfully you can hear the car starting to skip on the long left hander, softer rear springs amongst other tweeks will cure that. I must also get a reverse gear lock out as in the heat of the moment it's all to easy to try to grab reverse instead of first. Great day
